Thank you to DTU for hosting
the October meeting in Lyngby. The meeting was a fine opportunity to get
informed on the variety of topics currently being undertaken at the
university.
Our November meeting is sponsored by Chevron, and

DTU will be the host for our October meeting, and it will be the first time, where we have 3 students giving talks on their topics. I encourage all of you to sign up, as it is a fine opportunity to get an overview of DTU activities as well as meeting the young members of SPE, which is the future of the industry. DTI’s Ketil Sørensen will talk about the impact of Microbes in oil production after the dinner.
Thank you to SHELL for hosting a very successful event in September. I think Dennis Dria (Myden Energy) gave a very nice overview of the current capabilities of fiber optics, and good examples of field applications.
I found the after dinner talk by Klaas van der Plas (SHELL) quite intriguing. Not only because it is always interesting to hear about the new developments and fascinating technology. But also because this cross-company task force on Incident Response clearly demonstrates how responsible we, as an industry, acts.
Both Dennis and Klaas have kindly made their presentations available for our section. Please contact Tim Newman if you are interested in receiving the presentations.
I am looking forward to greeting you all welcome at DTU for our October meeting.
