February meeting

The first speaker is Tayfun Babadagli, Professor of Petroleum Engineering, University of Alberta, who will give a presentation entitled “Development of Mature Oil Fields: Enhanced Oil Recovery Option”.
Dinner speaker is Christian Krüger, VP Well Intervention at Welltec® where the topic will be “The Well Cutter® - case stories and future offerings”.

November Meeting

The next SPE meeting will be held on Tuesday the 26th of November and will take place at DTU, b. 101, aud. 1. Three presentations will be given by Ph.D. students representing different directions of the petroleum-related research at DTU.

  • Max La Cour Christensen, Algebraic Multilevel solvers for Reservoir Simulation.
  • Michael Frost, Measurement and Modeling of phase equilibrium of oil systems with polar chemicals.
  • Morten Kanne Sørensen, Correcting sonic logs for invasion.

The after-dinner speech will be delivered by Professor Erling H. Stenby, Chairman of Center for Energy Resources Engineering (CERE) & Head of Department DTU Chemistry on CERE and its example as a succes story of university – industry collaboration.
